A word or two about the projects:

The first row is my "Red Roof" series, an ongoing project requiring me to discover creative ways to photograph a large, metal-corrugated, red roof atop the Rosamond High School Gym

The other two rows are a small sampling of my book project, "The People's Flag". This project depicts the range of ways the flag is actually handled, in good and bad ways, by the citizens and residents of the US. The project began with the outbreak of the First Gulf War, and has accelerated in the second Bush administration. It is based on the sections of the US Code governing proper display, use, and treatment of the flag.
